WFB's attempt to emulate us ; ) No pushing at the door please!
aw thanks! you know a book is really good when you don't want to be done with it!
The Preditor was ok. I just picked up some bargain books along those lines. I read those much too fast. It keeps me occupied while I am on call.
A lady who works part time for us just came back from a trip to Vienna and Budapest. From what she said, it appears Budapest is just as gorgeous as described in The Historian.
the lesbian theme is a bit more pronounced in this one, it seems to me, isn't it? I know there were rumors about Patricia Cornwell because she has the lesbian niece of Dr. Scarpetta in all of these novels, and the pix of her (cornwell) wearing sort of mannish clothes on the dustjackets also kind of evoke that same thing.
how cool to have actually seen it.
Now, the Cox Arena in San Diego has been evacuated because of a bomb sniffing dog. Sheesh.
I think you are veddy, veddy handsome!
yes, i have read most of her books in the Scarpetta series and this was a first from what i could recall. when she is describing her lustful urges for that girlie and then takes her home, it was really ODD and gross to me. It's funny, i have mental images for the characters, Marino i picture as the guy from Hill Street Blues, remember him? i think Dennis something? and i picture James Woods for Benton. of course i see Patricia Cornwell herself from the pix as Dr. Scarpetta, but i don't have anyone in mind for the lesbo niece.
Cox Arena in San Diego is part of the March Madness tonight. Double sheesh.
xshub is going to be in Vegas, tonight, watching the Orange take on the Aggies.
i swear i saw a thread on FR the other day that said that comedian Will Ferrell had died in a paragliding accident. i forgot and haven't seen anything about it since, never heard a peep more. is it true, do you know?
Oh, I dunno about that last part, but for me, the first part has been decided. To think Shakspeare would have only to have had to ask me.
Dennis Franz? I really didn't watch it, but I believe he won a couple of Emmies for that series.
that's the guy!
I spent the entire morning catching up on Strong Bad emails (weekly cartoons at Homestar runner)...something I do only once in awhile...been fun...
Vegas, ahhhh, CSI!
