thanks for sharing a great story!

I'll never forget the time my dog escaped my yard during a thunderstorm...on a weekend I was out of town.

Turns out, she was "on the road" for the whole time, when some local university students found her. I rescued her at the pound the morning I got back.

Crying like a little girl? Indeed! This time, in gratitude!

Our Homer is a 'runner' when there's a storm or gunfire or a car backfire or ~anything~ scary and we aren't home [if we ARE home he leaps onto my lap at these times].

Not even really sure how he gets out of the fence because we've never seen him do it. Last time he ended up 4 miles away down a pretty busy road! Luckily he had his tags and phone number on. So now we have to leave him inside whenever we go ~anywhere~.
