Gandy turns out to be a real disappointment.
Shame.

But man, it sure will be fun to see how the show disposes of Chef!

"There is a place in this world for satire, but there is a time when satire ends and intolerance and bigotry toward religious beliefs ... begins," Hayes said.

South Park is an equal opportunity offender. Most of the time I find it funny. As for Isaac Hayes, I can't help it if Scientology is freaky. It was just waiting to be parodied, South Park obliged (it was hilarious!!).

"In ten years and over 150 episodes of 'South Park,' Isaac never had a problem with the show making fun of Christians, Muslim, Mormons or Jews," Stone said in a statement issued by the Comedy Central network. "He got a sudden case of religious sensitivity when it was his religion featured on the show."

You DO realise that this means NONstop ridicule of Scientology -- a ridiculous 'religion' to begin with.

"There is a place in this world for satire, but there is a time when satire ends and intolerance and bigotry toward religious beliefs ... begins," Hayes said....

In an interview with Reuters late last year, Hayes talked about a foundation he formed to bring Scientology-based study techniques to disadvantaged inner-city schools, in partnership with fellow devotee Lisa Marie Presley.

"But it's not religious," he said then, describing himself as Baptist by birth and Scientology as "an applied religious philosophy."

OK isacc, you hypocrit, is scientology religious or not? NOT!

"South Park" is brilliant (I feel secure in saying that because unlike other people who express opinions about it, I actually watch it) and Scientology is evil. There's a chilling article about the "religion" in the new Rolling Stone (http://www.rollingstone.com/politics/story/9363363/inside_scientology?rnd=1141585475703&has-player=true&version=6.0.12.1212) and of course, lots of great info at http://www.xenu.net

Parker and Stone probably worked it out with Hayes that he would not announce his resignation til this week to coincide with the start of the new season.

i got no problem with that. It's just smart business.

I guess we'll miss all that sweet love down by the fire. I hope they come up with a character that is even better.
