well... back around last Christmas, we didn't even think that we'd be this far... I can only presume, that a major part of their success, has been tagging along in our slipstream, with beating the freepers, a reason to join, and then when situational stagnation manifested itself, they lost interest, and moved on. Instant gratification is the name of the game, with that crowd. Freepers are a much sturdier, and more mentally stable lot. Look at guys like Lrenh. Quietly folding his way up to #129 in the all time folders list, then shifting his cpu's over to the team, and then back to quietly folding for team 36120. I hope to have that kind of dedication, 7 years or so into this.

I doubt seriously there will be a dummie team actively participating in 7 years from now. But I'd put just about any kind of wager you want, there there WILL be a freeper team, with active folders.

And you've also noticed, that they're now on their 5th major cheerleader in 3 months, the other 4, having disappeared, and their "founder", NYLiberal, is nowhere to be found, and hasn't been seen or heard from, in weeks.

Geez... it must really *(insert)* to be a liberal. :)

I noticed too that their founder "ny_liberal" is MIA.

She must have been discouraged when she realized that they won't catch us for a long time.

This competition is sort of addictive, though. It's a lot of fun. I like winning :)
