The papers, this far, have pretty well convicted him already -- that's another problem, considering how influential the family that owns the bar apparently is. And expecting an honest investigation is out of the question. They'll put away whomever they're a) paid to or b) is the likeliest to be convicted.
I have a feeling that, if all the facts were known (don't hold your breath) the investigation would prove almost as sickening as the crime itself.
