I never said it was "evil"; I think you're just trying to make a point that there are more offensive odors to you than smoke, so "why are they picking on me?"
I just think it is a little silly.

Sorry if I came off too defensively. The point I was trying to make, I can smoke outside, I can put my cigarette out, I can not smoke in an effort to be courteous to others, but four hours since I left the restaurant, I can still smell that cologne. Cologne and perfume used to be used by people (except little blue haired ladies) as a discrete personal signature, not an announcement to the entire county that they are there. Just a faint whiff of some perfumes can transport me to other times and wonder "What does she look like now?" The secret was the subtlety.
When you're in church or on a bus and you hear fifteen people with that persistent dry cough, I'd bet it's caused the overbearing colognes.
