Pardon my ignorance, I am out of touch with F-1 today.

I followed the era of Jackie Stewart, Mario Andretti and Nikki Lauda for years and then lost touch

Are there any American drivers or ones upcoming to look for these days

Scott Speed started his first race today in F1.
He is with the Toro Rosso team (the old Minardi).

I don't know how he did - because I'm watching the replay now.
