I just cut out a lot of the "heart attack food" that I usually eat. I gave up the ham, salami and pepperoni for Lent. I've managed to avoid cookies even though my house is full of them, and I haven't touched any of the ice cream in the freezer. Snack foods? Weeeeeelllll, I've avoided chips and pretzels, but next weekend I'll be binging on that stuff 'cause I'm going to a Sci-Fi convention for the weekend and I'll be eating poorly in the Con Suite.
I haven't started any particular exercise program, not even the small weights that are in the house. But I'm noticing a small difference. Before Christmas, I was up around 210 and I'm at around 200 now. Time will tell if I can keep it up. Or down, as the case may be.
