Mine too. Lost 40 pounds on Atkins, lowered my cholesterol too. Not too bad a diet to stick to, but needed extra vitamins to not feel like crap, and gained it all back after going off the diet.

Started again last March/April, was down a total of 50, have crept back up about 15, so I need to crack down again. I could stand to lose about 100, and I have 15 months before my wedding to do it!! Must fit in a smaller tux!

My cholesterol DOUBLED on Atkins (I was losing 3 lbs per week, so I let myself go overboard on fats).

But I changed gears to reduce fat, and eat more whole grains, and I have kept it all off, lost a bit more around the middle, and expect good test results shortly.

The doc wanted to put me on nasty meds, but I opted for diet change.

Anyone wanting sensible science and real inspiration to weight loss should read Micheal Fumento's "Fat of the Land". He's a great conservative science journalist, and the book is worth a read.
