I've watched most of Gonzaga's games. their defense, while not great, isn't all that bad. Now that Knight has fully recovered from injury, and Heytfelt is healthy, their defense is much improved.
Even though morrison goes to the free throw line a lot, he doesn't get nearly as many calls as he should. He is very skilled at drawing fouls. ravio seems to have come out of his shooting slump and a couple new guys are starting to make more significant contributions.
LMU had a rough start to the season, but are strong defensively and very quick. The WCC, while not a great conference, is better than most think. On top of that, the Zags are the only team everyone in the conference focuses on.
"I'd like for the Zags to win it all, but they looked very vulnerable against Loyola Marymount. Then again, they rallied to come back after being down by 15 or so in the second half. That shows heart and indomitable will."
Gonzaga was also lucky the tournament was played on their home court. They won't have that advantage from here on out. Morrison has also been slumping in terms of shots from the field. Gets lots of free throughs though.
It is almost a given that the Big Ten experiences Black Thursday or Black Friday and/or Black Saturday and Black Sunday in the first round and second round of the Tournament.
The only reason Duke is watched so much more than anyone else, is Everybody hoping to see them get their a**es kicked! Watching coach K's face at the end of a loss is worth a lot!
Put your bets on UCONN. Their Seniors are not going out without anything but another Championship ! They want it more than anyone else!
Duke has been in the Final Four 10 out of the last 20 years. I repeat: 10 out of 20 years.
Coach K is a teacher and leader and not just a coach. Remember that.

But it was only the 9th rated show on cable for the week, trailing WWE, Monk, Fairly Odd Parents, and Spongebob.

Coach K went to West Point and served as an artillery officer in the Army. I've been a Blue Devils fan since he came to Durham because his character was such a contrast with the whiner Dean Smith.

I have no idea what Morrison's politics are. I've never heard him give an interview or comment. He's a great player, but he has the worst mustache ever. Someone should seriously make him shave.

Thanks for posting that. Duke was robbed Saturday. UNC shot 7 more foul shots which was the margin of victory.
