Hey, many thanks. Been wanting to build a vanilla noname PC, damned tired of the OEM gambit.

This sounds verrrrrrrrrrrry interesting....I'm in need of info about protecting my computer & finding the best software that will help prevent it from getting hacked into (say, from online shopping sites or bank accounts, for example).

Any ideas???? Thank you.

Anyone who needs help with wireless I recommend not worrying about the class and buying either the Apple AirPort Extreme or AirPort Express. I had a Linksys router and it took 30 minutes to set up. The AirPort Express took longer to get out of the box than it took to set up. Plus if your modem and Express are near a stereo you can plug the Express into the stereo and stream music from iTunes to the speakers. Pretty neat.

TIGER DIRECT

If you're looking for computer components, look no further than the link above. The very best place to build and buy computer parts.

Buy apple and you don't have to learn or know anything.
Applenauts have been saying the same thing for years.

While TIger DIrect does have a good reputation, I've used MWAVE.COM for my last two MoBo and CPU purchases.

MWAVE

I like the fact they will assemble AND test your Mobo/CPU combination and then ship it to you. Their pricing is also a bit better than other sites. The AMD dual core 4200 is about $50 less than what I was finding on the EGG and Tiger... G
