Brokeback is not a commercial failure. People that want do argue with the message of the film need to stop saying that, it makes them look like fools.

It cost 14 million to make, and has already made upwards of 70 million, and that's just in domestic, pre-DVD dollars.

Argue with the social message of the movie all you want, but don't make an ass out of yourself doing it.

Save your breath...they'll never give up the idea that it's the same people going to the movie over and over again. It's one of my pet peeves here on FR. Some people here confuse disagreeing with someone or something into minimizing that someone or something. Just because you don't like an actor's politics, doesn't make him a bad actor, etc. It's dopey.

Stone Deaf is one of the few truly invincible Warriors because nothing can shatter his impenetrable armor of non recognition. His primitive battle strategy is maddening effective; he simply refuses to acknowledge any arguments he doesn't like. Kung-Fu Master can hammer away with devastating blows, Cyber Sisters can screech in full throat and Profundus Maximus can expound until he drops, but Stone Deaf remains utterly oblivious as he advances his dogged and often repetitious attacks. In the early stages of battle a wide array of Warriors will fling themselves at Stone Deaf, but inevitably they fall back exahusted or lose interest when they see that their best weapons have no effect. His only real enemy is Admin, who has the power to eject him from the discussion forum.

The $78 million that Brokeback has made is hardly impressive. Out of all movies released in 2005, 25 have made more money than it (includes money from both 2005 and 2006), including Cheaper By the Dozen 2, Fun With Dick and Jane, Are We There Yet? and Dukes of Hazzard. Sorry, but I don't consider that a box office success.

Nope tell that to the theaters that have to show it. If you look at the average money per showing it has taken in you will see that they took a blood bath on it. The production company, director, actors made well but that's probably all who did.
