Good, I am so glad that Crash won, because it deserved to. I have always enjoyed Matt Dillion. Thank goodness that Broke-back Mountain lost, because wouldn't you know it, it was it was directed by an Asian, since when does someone from China know anything about being a cowboy?

No...the best part was the Palestinian movie, PARADISE NOW lost. We wondered how all the Jews in the audience would sit and clap about a movie glorifying suicide bombers. But I'm happily surprised at Hollywood for doing the right thing.

Martin Scorsese didn't want to do Raging Bull because he didn't understand boxing. Still seems he pulled that off pretty well.

He doesn't need to know much. The writer does. It's Lee's job to put the film together and make it "feel" I guess would be the best word.
Honestly, I wasn't too impressed by any of the Best Picture nominees.

Why are you so happy about Crash? It was leftist Hollywood trash too. The moral was about how racist Amerikkka is....
To Hell with Hollywood.

He directed "Ride with the Devil", about the Missouri border war. It was an EXCELLENT movie. Best cinematic re-enactment of Quantrill's attack on Lawrence , Kansas I've ever seen. So he knows something.

since when does someone from China know anything about being a cowboy? I haven't seen the movie, but that's a really bad arguement.
When since does a guy born in Australia in the 1900's know anything about Judea 33 AD?
Yet, I still thought Passion of the Christ was a good movie.

He did a pretty darn good job.

There were no cowboys in brokeback mountain. They were sheep herders.
There is a difference.
If all it takes to be a cowboy is a hat, then Imus is a cowboy.

Well, a couple of things wrong with this statement. One, they weren't cowboys, they were sheep herders. Two, Ang Lee directed one of the best War Between the States movies ever made -- Ride with the Devil.
Check it out.

Did Brokeback win the "Best Simulated Homo Sex" Oscar, or did Capote take it?
