Gatti made weight the day before the fight, but the suit said his weight was "falsely represented" then and that he was actually 160 pounds by the time he got into the ring the next day. Who was checking his weight? I doubt that he did it the previous morning on his bathroom scale and filled in the form himself.

It's SOP to pack on weight after the weigh-in but the weigh-in is the official weight. It's pretty hard to believe a guy could put on 21 pounds but I'm told James Toney added 27 pounds once.
Still, it's not against the rules.
