My wife and I are moving to the Norfolk area in August for the Military and she has started looking for jobs. I figured there might be some engineers among freepers so I was looking for help. She just got a Physics Engineering degree and has 1 year of civil engineering experience. If anyone has connections with any engineering types in Norfolk please let me know.

I work with Virginians even though I live in Minnesota. I hope you like it there. I really enjoyed the time I got to spend out there. Good Luck to you.

Hubby and I lived there when he was stationed with the Navy. I absolutely loved it, because I love the sea. There's also alot of cultural things going on. And, Norfolk is close to Williamsburg, and the Shanandoah Valley, many historial sites, and of course the beaches...always the beaches.

Came here in 92 with the Coast Guard, retired and stayed. Great weather, lots to do. Try this link;

Oh, yeah, don't try to figure the roads out, just drive, you'll get there eventually.
Enjoy your stay!

Don't know any civil engineer types, but I work for BAE Systems, as an Electronics Service Engineer.
I've been in Norfolk since 79 (Navy sent me here, too). If you want any info on the area, please freepmail me and I'll send you an e-mail address.
