How is your DSL modem connected? Directly via USB, or ethernet. Don't you have a hardware router/firewall between your computer and DSL modem? What kind of ethernet card is installed?
my DSL modem is connect into a d-link wierless router, then my main system is connected to the wireless router with a ethernet cable, the laptop is wifi., I also have another system that is plugged into the router with an cable
