The slippery slope always starts with lowering the ground by a couple of gradients.
I am afraid that the legacy that Islamofascism is going to leave, even after it's gone, will be bad for the public's perception of Christians.
Christians don't agree with parading almost naked women around on TV. Muslims don't either. It's really easy to link the two and morally equivocate, as has been done many times in FR threads.
You and I know well that the situations are completely different. No self-respecting Christian is going to call for beheadings or stonings of women for these things. OTOH, no self-respecting Christian is just going to say, 'that's OK because it's against muslims.' Right is right and wrong is wrong.
The secular conservative world, comprised mainly of south park republicans and libertarians, could very easily make this erroneous connection. That's a situation that can only have an unpleasant ending. For this reason, Islamic fascism is far more dangerous than the purely military threat it poses; it will continue to gnaw on our culture and cause division for a time even after it's been defeated.

good call. That is why we must overcome the liberal lies against Christianity and make it clear that we don't like people parading naked but we won't kill them for it.

(Pres. Bush isn't Pres. Reagan. Then again, Pres. Regan isn't Pres. Washington. God bless them all.)
