Then, go to an image hosting site (e.g. ImageShack.us). You should get an HTTP link to the image. I gave up on Imageshack when they became really bad about serving to FR -- too high a volume for their servers, apparently.
I had to sign up for photobucket.com, but they've been pretty good.

IIRC, I've only had to upload three images--most of what I've used I've found on the web already.
If you've got a lot to display--yeah, definitely avoid Imageshack.
