We've got winter deadfall out in our back forty too, and the same kind of issue... I'd rather not haul everything to a fire too far away. If it's wet enough above, I'd like to do a bunch of small fires right where the sticks are.

It's pouring good here today... We actually need it. I'm not ready for the pasture to start drying out, I want it to grow. I just feel bad because it was so sunny all week, and I feel bad for the folk who have to work all week and then get a rainy weekend.
