The FreeRepublic Saddle Club - Who's Who *pics*

This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.

I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts… look for it there and wake the thread up!

I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and MissTargets will now be pinging everyone most mornings. Let MissTargets and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in…. There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics… land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news…. Legislation that might affect horse owners.

So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

So far, they are working really well. Also, the shoer didn't take out any sole or frog, never even touched that area. I think being too aggressive about trimming out frog and sole has caused a big chunk of Tuffy's problems.

He decided since I didn't give him treats that he would eat the cross tie.

No I didn't make it. My tooth is hurting again. I came home for an oral a gel sandwich. I may head oout there in a little while. I've had a bad day. I don't feel like riding but some fuzzies would be good.

We lose power here all the time, esp when it hasn't rained awhile. Maybe that's why it's BROWNsville:')

Funny about the water. I can't drink it cold. It has to be room temperature.

I'm going to have to take Sarah Lee to McAllen soon to get hers floated. It's about an hour away.

Wow, tuffy, those shoes look really interesting, and so does that pour in pad. Tuffy's looking pretty good too.

Hair thanks for reposting those links. Jenny and I enjoyed watching them. That paint horse racking along looks pretty cool:), Jenny was laughing at how different you both sound:)

Here's a few pictures from my day.

Belle. You can see the pasture is looking very sparse.

Dot.

Harley

And this is Susie watching the crack at the bottom of the door. I could never catch it, but Jenny's cat reached out every once in a while and took a swipe at her. They are hilarious, this cat as trapped Susie under the couch before:), very aggressive. But Susie insists on chasing her. We have to keep them seperate.

I was bathing Sarah Lee the other day and had her tied to the fence where the big babies are. One came over when I gave Sarah Lee a drink and wanted one too. She kept coming back for more and the last time bit the hose and would not let go. I'm thinking I pull her teeth out or she bites this off and swallows the metal then I'm going to be in big trouble. She finally let go and I just streamed water in for her to bite. At the same time in the big boy pen, Okie had picked up his empty feed bucket. Another gelding bit the other side and they were having a tug of war, and I didn't have my camera with me:'(

It might be, but she looks like she's getting enough :~D

Heh... My voice cracks me up when I hear it "Nicely done!" - Do I really sound like that? :~D

I know, I always just horrified when I hear myself...I'm such a hick:)

You just sound so soft and well bred:), is the best way I can describe it:)

Jenny said Frog sounded like Kellie Pickler, one of the contestants on American Idol:)

When I talked to you I was really surprised. I think we talked about that:) I just expect anyone that deals with horses is going to sound, well, cowboyish:), but then I remembered you do that English Stuff:)

I was wondering if you are still using any Omelene??? If you are I got a really good coupon last night that I hate to see wasted. I'd send it to you if you want it.
Buy 2 get 2 free.

I got a $500.00 coupon to if your looking to buy a New Sport Chassis Vehicle:)

I don't know what the regular price is but if anyone takes the Equus or Horse and Rider Magazines, I got coupons for them too. $1.00 an issue for 12 issues.
