According to David Horowitz, CC '59 and honorary president of the Columbia Conservative Alumni Association, Columbia is home to 9 of the most egregious 101 professors in the country.

The university response is telling:

A spokeswoman for Columbia, Susan Brown, said the university's professors "are among the most preeminent scholars in their fields. They and the university take seriously the responsibility to expose students to the modern world in all its complexity and to foster greater understanding of its diverse cultures and political systems."

"Columbia is one of the most diverse institutions of higher education in the world and a place where all students can flourish, regardless of their background, race, or religion," she added.

Is it any surprise that Ms. Brown forgot to add ideology or political perspective? I suppose that a rainbow coalition of leftists attacking the US on similar grounds is diverse in her eyes.

Is that what they call nuance?

I didn't have any of them when I was there, but I certainly saw my share of Marxist-Socialist-Feminist pushers in my time. I was exposed to it in poli-sci and lit-hum, especially, but also in a very bizarre Shakespeare class.

I thank God I survived my time in the wilderness there.
