Some people never learn
Loony email | 2/21/2006 | Jim Busse

Posted on 02/21/2006 1:32:11 PM PST by bcsco

This a.m. I received an email from a friend with a couple cartoons regarding the Chaney incident the weekend before last. I replied by sending him a few more cartoons I'd gotten off FreeRepublic.

Apparently he forwarded my reply to a common acquaintance who's a real leftie. Well, this leftie then sent it back to me with some remarks that set me off. It's all below (except for the cartoons). First there's his email (which got me boiling), then my return response:

We talked about how hard it was to come back from being an object of redicule. This and the last two e-mails you've sent are a pretty good job of trying to reestablish Cheney after an unfortunate incident found a character flaw. The Democrats could really use a good cartoonist.

----- My Reply -----

I don't recall talking about this with you but I'll add my 2 cents...

Object of ridicule? I suppose you mean Chaney: If so, then only by the dummie left.

And what character flaw? Hunting? I've hunted all my life. If you want to call that a character flaw, then come see me about it. If you mean being a conservative Republican, then you've got me there too. Another thing to talk about face to face. If you mean his past association with Haliburton, guess what: Lady Bird Johnson's family is the primary shareholder in Haliburton. It's mostly owned by a Democratic family. If you mean his not informing the White House Press Corps when THEY thought he should, that's just too bad. If they can't figure out that an accident such as this is a very trying situation for ALL concerned then they'd better go back to the sand box where they belong.

The Democrats need far more that a good cartoonist. They need:

1) Ideas 2) A realization that we are indeed in a War On Terror 3) Defranchise the 'loony left' 4) A realization that if anyone practices character assination, it's them 5) Quit this insane love affair with the killing of inocent babies 6) Stop 'dissing' this, the greatest most free country ever established on the face of the earth

How's that for an agenda?

Thank God I listened to Rush today. He had the stuff on Haliburton. It's been a tough day, folks, and I didn't need this jerk hitting on me. I don't think he will again...at least for awhile.

Don't let idiots like that get under your skin.

Attempting to turn Cheney's accident into a major scandal is a sign of desperation. Laugh at them and enjoy their bitterness.

Nice retort. You should practice spelling the vice president's name, though.

Don't forget this Rushism:

Never argue with an idiot, other people may not know the difference.

I suggest two books:

'Unhinged' -- Michelle Malkin

'Do as I Say (Not as I Do)' -- Peter Schweizer

You'll have plenty of comebacks for your liberal friends.

I'm a horrible speller as well and usually forget to use the spell check, so i really shouldn't be bashing someone about it, but the "Chaney" one really stuck out to me.

Never try to teach a pig to sing, it is a waste of your time and annoys the pig.

If this idiot does reply, tell him to pick up General Georges Sada's book, "Saddam's Secrets". This book destroys the last vestige of the lefties accusations about the war in Iraq, mainly that Saddam had WMD's and while the U.N was deliberating on how to proceed and the U.S. waited for "authorization" for the war, those were shipped to Syria via stripped down commercial aircraft. Good Luck!

I know...I was so hoppin' mad I could hardly think straight. And I did send without the spell check. Oh well, I think he'll get the message.

Thanks for the comebacks. They're appreciated.

I might just have to do that. I have not read this.

I'm currently reading Kenneth Timmerman's; 'Countdown to Crisis: The Coming Nuclear Showdown with Iran'.

I'm not going to respond to that. There's something about it that seems inappropriate for a Tuesday afternoon. ;-)
