I have seen the reference to adjusting the %CPU several times. I am running the console/windows process on my computeres. How do I adjust the %CPU on those applications?

1. Stop the service

2. Go to your command prompt, and navigate to the folder where you have FAH console located

3. Type in fah502-console.exe -configonly

4. When it asks you for advanced settings, say yes

5. When it prompts you for a percentage, put in ????

6. Restart the service

After this time, you can just edit the client.cfg file with notepad, and start and stop the service to adjust CPU%

I goose-egged that one. I'm hoping for some more by 9pm. Would like to get 4k today or at least about 10+ more machines to check in the first time today.

I had a work unit finish this morning (500 of 500) and it has not uploaded yet. Still sitting there on 500 of 500.

Major bummer.

Has anyone else seen this behavior?

OTOH, I got a 3ghz P4-HT that seems to smoke (by my lame standards). Cheap but effective.

Yeah, a reboot fixed it for me.

I have at least two WUs waiting for server 171.64.122.130 VSP63 to start accepting connections. They've been waiting for over a week. Fortunately, the processors in question were able to d/l new units to work on.

"Looks like FR's point growth is still growing! ;-)"

But the same cannot be said for the DUmmies. Their points per day has been shrinking for the past few days :)

I'll take credit for that uptick on the on chart. :)

At least part of it anyway.

Maybe the smarter DUmmies have decided to join a winning team and have changed their configs to point to 36120.

Yeah, I've occasionally seen this when my ISP gets overloaded with traffic during busy times.  Of course, it may be the FAH servers are just really busy or down for a while, too.   The WU eventually gets uploaded, but it's a pain waiting on it - the longer it takes, the more paranoid I get, thinking my systems' settings have messed up or may be under attack.   I know, I know - I've got a router & 2 firewalls, but I'm still paranoid about it, LOL.

(I know just enough about hardware, software, & networks to be dangerous, but not enough to manage anyone else's systems but my own, lol.)
