Man, this cat is all over the map!!! I hear today he's apologized somewhat to A-Rod but ...

"I don't call him a hypocrite that way. Alex Rodriguez is not a hypocrite. I was just trying to say he does not have to please people or make people from the United States or from the Dominican Republic or Venezuela happy. When you do that, you sound like you are a hypocrite. If you say, 'Hey, I want to play for the United States. That's the team I belong on, and I move on. That's it.' That's what I tried to say.

"I've known Alex since he was 17 years old. I'm not going to say he is a good friend of mine, but I have a lot of respect for him. I said the wrong thing about the wrong guy.''

Still, we can all appreciate some of the things he says in the article. It is nice to see somebody who still appreciates the concept of "freedom" rather than the coddled and swaddled state so many would seem to prefer.

He sounds like our great house painter, a Mexican America who was born here after his family moved to LA a couple of weeks before he was born.

He owns his own painting business and has legals working for him all in many cities. His wife owns her own business. He voluntered in the Marines and served in the first Gulf War when he was called to active duty. He was turned down when he tried to re enlist for the current one. He has two nephews who have served at least two tours in Iraq.

His favorite comment to Mexicans and other from South America when they run down America try to make their cesspool country a wonderful place: "STFU and go back to the hell hole, where you came from!"
