Ever curious about the stuff that gets ground up with the wheat that ends up in your toast?
My uncle was grinding hamburger and the pencil he kept behind his ear fell into the meat grinder. He kept right on grinding the HB.
Nope. I just try not to think about it. I sat on a combine plenty in my day and saw all sorts of critters being swallowed along with the swath. Grasshoppers (plenty of those) field mice, goose poo, small birds, left over kill from owls and hawks etc. Most of it gets blown out the other end of the combine, small bits get stuck to the kernel though.
It gets screened several times before it gets turned into your favorite cereal, so what's left is microscopic, Then it's mashed up, cooked and processed so there really nothing to worry about.
That jar of spagetti sauce, ketchup, or tomato juice has way more bug juice in it. V8 vegetable juice probably has the widest variety of bug juice of all. It's all good protien.
Most people do not understand that your cereal, bread, instant soup, etc all have ground insect parts in them. It is part of the process.
Of course, some might say it adds to the taste!
