I'm somewhere in-between. I'm not an idiot nor a fanatic but I do enjoy watching most sports.

I just want to know why there are female commentators on my college football & basketball games when NO WOMEN ARE PLAYING!
My wife is neither a sports fanatic nor a sports idiot. She's in between. And she loves college basketball!
What a gal.

No, Im not a sports fantatic. I will watch sports, and can enjoy them, and even really get into them, but Im no fantatic. :o)
There is no Mr. Motormouth anymore, so I cant find out if its okay, or not! LOL

The question posed to listeners was whether you wanted your wife to be a sports idiot, a sports fanatic or somewhere in between. Hey!
You left out sports apathetic.
That's discrimination.....I'm gonna TELL!

Ok, first, damn you for making me look up Oedipus in the dictionary. Second, what in the heck does "the positive libidinal feelings that a child develops toward the parent of the opposite sex and that may be a source of adult personality disorder" have to do with this thread?

"Can I get an "AMEN!" brothers and sisters!"
Next time you tell your wife to shut up while youre watching ANY type of sport, let us know how hard she smacks ya. :o)

I don't like the "bench bimbos" that prowl the sideline during pro and college football.
To: motormouth
I believe the comment was that we WANT them to shut up during the game... I don't think any of us are stupid enough to actually say it.

Somewhere in between, which is where I am. I love my college football, will watch and enjoy NFL and baseball (college and MLB), and really couldn't care less about basketball or hockey. And my future fiancee is on the same wavelength will all that, although we may root for different teams when it comes to NFL and MLB. We have season tickets to our alma maters football games. And yes, the wedding will be planned around football season. :)

"Screaming at the TV"
Now, are you yelling at Parcells for calling a draw play on 3rd and 18 or are you yelling because you're mad that someone tackled Bledsoe and "he may have hurt his cute bum"?

I'm not a sports idiot, but certainly not a fanatic. My husband loves it when I watch sports with him. I enjoy going to basketball games. I enjoy basketball and football on tv... just not every game for the entire season. I root for our teams -- if our teams aren't in the game, I'm just not interested. That makes him sad, but we've come up with an uneasy peace. If he wants to watch some dumb game, like the playoffs after our team has been eliminated, I don't complain. I will find something else to do.
