I make sure my tomatoes do not have sugar in them since hubby can't stand sweet chili.

LOL!

My family doesn't like sweet chili either, so I fix it the normal way, then at ketchup to my bowl.

I know, I know, it's like the ULTAMATE 'chili sin', but I like it. When I was a kid, it used to gross my mother out somethin' fierce!
