I recently purchased a book about Sullivan Ballou. It is a endearing and eternal love letter he wrote to his wife. There was a letter recently posted on FR from a soldier to his family that was equally heart wrenching in it's love and in the fact that the writer recently died. Sorry I can't recall the post.

Hey, anybody around this afternoon for chatting, or are you all out enjoying yourselves on this beautiful (in SF Bay Area, anyway) Saturday?
I just read an excellent article by a guy named Burt Prelutsky on Townhall about why he became a conservative, and was wondering if anybody had stories about why they are conservatives, and if they had previously been liberals. Not a romantic topic, I know, just curious.
