Marcus Williams didn't score 35 points against Georgetown (or some other Big East rival) today after not playing well against his team's rival his whole career. Redick did. He was ESPN.com's top story, so he's a victim of circumstance. I can't think of a reason to hate Redick other than that he plays solid basketball for Duke. I don't think he's stole anything but a few basketballs on the court, or is otherwise a criminal. But I don't follow Duke that much and could be wrong.

You're right , but he is already being touted as a first round draft pick if he decides to forego his final year at UConn . Meanwhile , the press wonders if Redick can be even moderately successful in the NBA .
