I didn't say that. However, I've heard that comparison before. Fran Tarkenton started it, as he's spent the last thirty years claiming that he's a great quarterback even though he got waxed in the big game. I've never heard Marino make it, although I have heard him say he'd trade his records for a ring. I'll also note that Marino has always had too much class to make that comparison. He stands on his record, and lets others decide who's great.
In the BIG game, in their primes, I'll take Stabler over Fouts, and I think it's presumptuous of a guy who's never even been to the big game to dog a guy out who has been there (even in a commercial).
