"The Democrats have a knee-jerk addition to tax increases, and every time their knee jerks, you get kicked."
At the second debate: ""I will not make age an issue of this campaign. I am not going to exploit, for political purposes, my opponent's youth and inexperience." Mondale hated it, but he had to pretend to laugh.

Magnus, not magmus. Magnus means "great". Magmus probably means something akin to a volcano or lava.
Reagan used to tell the Soviet this joke to lighten the mood:
There is an American and a Russian. The American says "My country is so great that I have the freedom to walk up to the White House and shout "Ronald Reagan is an idiot!"". The Russian replies, "Of thats nothing. My country is so free and great that I can walk up to the Kremlin and shout "Ronald Reagan is an idiot"".

Mr Gorbachev, tear down this wall! The taxpayer - that's someone who works for the federal government but doesn't have to take the civil service examination.
Trust, but verify.
Government's first duty is to protect the people, not run their lives.
There are way too many quotes to pick just one.
