I feel like I am making excuses, because my team certainly made it's share of mistakes but the officiating in this SB was worse than I can remember. No way was the Steelers QB TD a TD. No way. And the call against Darrell Jackson in the end zone? If that is pushing off then they need to calling that a hell of a lot more during the regular season because guys are doing that in every game every week of the year and not getting called, ie:Keyshawn Johnson. The holding call that wasn't? It's called a pancake block ref, look it up. Flagging Hasslebeck for "blocking below the waist?" HE WAS MAKING A TACKLE YOU MORON REF!!!!
Now that was ridiculous. Didn't really figure in the outcome, but geez, how do they mess that one up?
Nose of the ball got to the goal line. The call was correct, and the reply wasn't conclusive enough to show that it wasn't.
Flagging Hasslebeck for "blocking below the waist?"
This, I will agree was a bad call. How about the non-fumble on the so-called "incomplete pass". How about Hasslebeck getting grazed by a finger when he was aldready going down on his own negating a fumble?
The only calls you want to rememebr are the ones that went against your own team.
what about the 4 dropped passes by Stevens? What about the other 2 touchdowns the Hawks didn't stop? What about the Hasselback fumble that they gave him back because he was barely touched by Larry Foote? What about the 2 field goals they missed?
There are plenty of reasons the Seahawks lost that game legitimately. Fewer reason why they should have won. Including the final score.
