Us Dallas Stars fans had to put up with the same crap from Sabres fans after we won the Stanley Cup. As if they just knew they were going to win game six anyway, even if Hull's goal was disallowed, AND game 7 in Dallas.

Negating one Hawk TD (which would have made it 10-0 and changed the complexion of the game) 7-0, not 10-0. Seattle kicked the field goal after they were caught cheating on the "touchdown".

You can always count on bad officiating in a Notre Dame football game, where the refs will bend over backwards to help the Irish. Like when Reggie Bush pushed his man into the endzone right in front of the Ref during the decisive play in the Trojans vs. ND game this year? Ooooops, I killed your conspiracy theory...

It's not a sport, it's organized athletic entertainment, run by a monopolistic franchise, along the lines of wrestling.

Usually only at home games. It's also like playing in Yankee Stadium of the Montreal Forum.

"The difference was also Seattle's horrible clock management. Can't blame that one on the refs."
Thanks for bringing that up...The only thing worse was than Seattle's clock management was the Stones' halftime "entertainment" show.

Bring back the days when the football had to physically end up in the endzone. The whole ball or just part of the ball? You see where I'm going here, right?

Then came Pittsbugh's first touchdown. Whether you think Roethlisberger broke the plane of the goal line seems to depend on which team you were rooting for. The odd part was the line judge seemed to have determined that Big Ben had come up short as he ran in from the sideline. Since Roethlisberger had been pushed back well short of the goal line I don't know what he could have seen as he got closer to the pile that would have made him change his mind.
The replays clearly showed the ball breaking the plane before he was downed.

Just because Michael "cokehead" Irvin did it way back when, doesn't mean it's legal in the present form of the NFL. Who is upholding that call? I dont know anyone that says that was a good call.

I couldn't care less about sports without actually being hostile toward them. But, occasionally, I'll watch championship games in basketball and football. Even I, in my general ignorance of pro sports could see that the refs in the Super Bowl were completely out to lunch.
I've heard announcers point out before that in championship games, the refs will either tighten-up the foul calling, or loosen up what they'll call - but they need to do it for both teams.
It seemed pretty clear that the refs were letting the Steelers get away with stuff they weren't allowing Seattle to get away with.

Seattle couldn't put the ball in the endzone...Although I'm delighted that the Steelers won, I still don't get the "Offensive Pass Interference" call against the Seahawks (when they did get the ball into the end zone.)

I feel like I am making excuses, because my team certainly made it's share of mistakes but the officiating in this SB was worse than I can remember. No way was the Steelers QB TD a TD. No way. And the call against Darrell Jackson in the end zone? If that is pushing off then they need to calling that a hell of a lot more during the regular season because guys are doing that in every game every week of the year and not getting called, ie:Keyshawn Johnson. The holding call that wasn't? It's called a pancake block ref, look it up. Flagging Hasslebeck for "blocking below the waist?" HE WAS MAKING A TACKLE YOU MORON REF!!!!
