Let's face it. Baseball is not great at this time in our life. It is weighted toward the big cities.

It is still baseball and I loved it when I was a kid, made it to AAA. Then I got pounded with a real curve ball and bailed out.

Observatiion here: "As bad as baseball is today, it is still baseball."

Agreed! I have seat options/season tickets to my local college baseball team (Fresno State)...my wife and I enjoy college baseball a lot more than the pros, as least you can root for a kid for 4 years or so before he leaves for the minor leagues or another career. I really hate the fact that one of my favorite local pro teams (Oakland A's) is a "farm team" for the Yankees...Yankees buy anyone that they want! (With big TV market $$).
