Indeed. So we now know, we Christians aren't the intolerant ones.

NBC last week was forced to pull its highly touted new show "The Book of Daniel" because of charges its portrayal of Jesus was blasphemous. It was pulled because of charges its portrayal of Jesus was blasphemous? Is the author trying to imply that we live in a theocracy?
I thought THE PEOPLE decided they didn't want to watch it, and it was pulled because of poor ratings. Silly me.

Thanks for the ping, Victoria. I'm surprised I didn't hear about this story sooner.

Indeed. So we now know, we Christians aren't the intolerant ones. We never were. The left has simply redefined the word "tolerance" to mean "total acceptance." I can work alongside anyone, even if I don't accept their behavior.
This "new tolerance" accepts everyone's viewpoint but is openly hostile to any semblance of Christianity.
How intolerant!

I sent a few emails this morning, lol. I found out yesterday.

I think I'm perfectly content not even giving a damn who Britney Spears is. LOL.

That's a good way to put it.

Me, too. I love Megan Mullally, an OKieperson.
But I quit watching several years ago. I think it jumped the shark for me when Harry Connick Jr kept going to Africa to treat poor children. Their "marriage" was a farce and he only showed up maybe once per season.

"...because they will NEVER go away"
And Hollywood is discovering, to it's horror, that neither are we :)

Father Clem Davis, pastor of St. Batholomew Parish in Columbus, Indiana, used to tell everyone that "Will & Grace" was his favorite show.

Serioulsy, anyone who is making a big deal about "Cruci-fixin's" needs to get off the drugs and find a sense of humor. I managed a chuckle just reading this sentence.
I couldn't make a big deal about it, because I was still ticked about Book of Daniel. But you're right, it sounds like a segment from The Simpsons. I could just see Flanders hosting such a show.
Christians can laugh at themselves, they can stand others laughing at them, but I think there comes a point where it just gets to be too much. Book of Daniel was too much, this was just 'hello, stupid? Aren't you listening?'

Holy crap! Did they arrest the guy with the "3/11" sign? Wouldn't that be inciting unrest or making terrorist remarks? That crossed my free speech barrier.

They were interviewing her about her role, and she pretty much said that the Jesus was about "Tolerance". No political agenda there.Interesting phrase that she would use.
Tolerance in latin:
Toleratio est permissio megativia mali
literally means that tolerance is a negative permission of evil, a patience forebearance in the face of evil, either real or imaginary evil. Notice that tolerance is a negative. Tolerance is never positive. If it were it would be a conniviance of evil.
To say that Jesus was about tolerance is completely misguided and off the mark. I wish people had a better understanding of what they were saying.
Xmission, you probably were more succinct than I could be. Just thought I'd elaborate a little bit from Archbisop Fulton Sheen's book, Life is Worth Living.
Blessings to you.

Whoops...
Try again...
Toleratio est permissio negativia mali
Gotta get some coffee before I start on Latin.
