I remember hearing that story. The part I liked best was when he tried to tell a joke or funny story and started laughing while telling it.
There were many times he almost doubled over and started tearing up, before he got halfway thru the story. I almost peed in my pants several times - he was so funny.
Part of the story was about how he sold soap as a mirror defogger... .
One of the best parts of my childhood. Fredhead is right though. I ordered a video tape of his shows once, and the video quality wasn't good, and the shows weren't as funny as I remember.
Maybe our senses of humor need more stimulation now.
