I don't know. If you look in AAFO it appears to be confirmed and true, but then I don't know how many people on AAFO are associated with the Jet Class committee or RARA.
RARA website says there are still 6 classes of racing this year, with Jets.
Unlike most on AAFO, I like the jet races. Sure, they aren't super fast or loud but what the heck, it a RACE!
Last year, there were a lot of holes in the daily program...I mean just DEAD boring space, hardly any air show acts (and I like them, too).
If they kill the jet races and don't fill the slots with anything it's either going to be a short day or there's going to be a lot of dead air in between races.
Keep the jets and add T-28s!
Two of the aerobatic acts that were supposed to perform were grounded because of the Cap232 wing problem. That's why the performances were (yawn) not up to par.
I like the jets - but never saw the T28s race.
I think the rocket racing will be silly - but I'm willing to give it a chance. I'll check in with my L39 pals and see if they have more info.
