"(the filmmaker/director) was arrested for soliciting...was dressed in drag...arrested after approaching an undercover officer...and offering to perform a sex act..."

More from "Hollywood" to no one else's surprise.

Wow. He directed the decent adventure flick "The Edge" as well as "Mullholland Falls" and "We Were Warriors" but since then he's done nothing but junk, plus some good Sopranos eps. Guess he figured no one would know who he was anyway.

I'm sure he's a member of the "Film Actor's Guild"

Bad timing. Dressed up in drag as a woman, maybe he should have chosen to "dye another day".

Yeah, as to his directing an episode of THE SOPRANOS. The good side of this is that the hasn't directed any more of them! Looks like he was a bit of a trial run with that Series, thank Heavens.

MULHOLLAND FALLS was, when you think about it, a besmirching of male (and even female) honor...think it over.

I don't even begin to get why he was in drag. He solicited a male for oral sex on the street. I'm thinking most males parked in cars on a street in Hollywood (where the male was, an undercover cop) understand anyone making that offer is likely to be another male.

Plummeting to new lows. Sure makes me want to avoid ever watching a movie the slime directs.

Aha, so this guy directed one of the Episodes for THE SOPRANOS, no more. He directed one of the worst Episodes at that, "Toodle-f**ing-oo" (Season 2, Episode 3), one wherein the pizza parlor guy is run over and down by mad dog Richie Aprillo, among other down events. I admit it, I'm relieved he hasn't been any more involved in the Series other than that one Episode from many years ago.

Typo, previous: character Richie Aprile, not "Aprillo."

Tennis pro Richard Raskin had a sex change operation to become female Rene Richards. Then, once he was a woman--- became a lesbian.

What are these people thinking?

I was hoping the "New Zealand film maker" was Peter Jackson who so despoiled The War of the Ring trilogy.

Top Five Explanations for Tamahori's behaviour:

5. Lost bet on Steelers - Broncos championship game.
4. All of his regular clothes were in the laundry.
3. The cops just set him up because he wouldn't sign an autograph.
2. Michael Jackson is his role model.
1. Testing new "reality show" concept.

Typical of these people. What are they thinking? They aren't, well not with rational thought anyway. Their thinking is what is flawed. They are mentally ill, and the media, doctors, psychiatrists, even government, are feeding into it, for profit. None should be encouraging mentally ill people to live in a fantasy world.

When people run from reality, it chases you every second. You cannot escape it, but these wacko's are encouraged to keep running.
