That's way out of line and wrong.
But, do you remember this???
****
Fred "The Hammer" Williamson.
The Hammer said he was going to do some damage against the Green Bay Packers in the first Super Bowl. Williamson was going to drop the Hammer on the Packers. It was a bold claim. Trash talking hadn't yet been recognized as an Olympic sport, and just about everyone knew the Packers were going to toy with the Kansas City Chiefs, champions of the upstart American Football League. Most folks laughed off Williamson's boast.
And then the Hammer was knocked out cold in the second half of the Packers' rout. The Hammer went down after running into Donnie Anderson, and by the time he came to his senses, Vince Lombardi and friends were toasting their 35-10 victory.

That was a great football moment, but to be totally honest, Fred Williamson was a very nice guy!
I remember The Hammer getting knocked out. It was, all in all, pretty funny.
But I don't want to see anyone carried off of the field in a stretcher, or even have to ride the cart off of the field.
Minor injuries are OK though. Part of the game.
Remember Daryl Stingley? Out for life with a broken neck from either Jack Tatum or George Atkinson, both of the Raiders. That still bothers me.
A lot of Packers believed that 'the hammer' was faking it and only pretended to be knocked out.
