Communists manage to combine arrogance and self righteousness to a very high level. They claim to be looking after the greater good, but that often means the individual suffers. And that's ok. The leadership never suffers, and always feels they are doing what's best, even if people die.
Now, if you're hungry, or without shelter, or whatever dire circumstance, and you have such leaders, you would have a white hot hate for communism.
Democrats display much that is characteristic of communism.

A model with a brain. How depressing. I often try to console myself for my non-good looks by cradling my PhD diploma and rocking back and forth. But when brains and beauty combine in a single person it completely undermines my "at least I'm smart" alibi.
