I rented it over the weekend, it started out OK but when the people just stood there and watched instead of running I knew it was a stinker.

Oh and if my kid acted like his son I would have killed him in public as a lesson to other confused teens.

But, after hearing how comedy illusionist pal Penn Jillette was banned from poking fun at the controversial religion on his cable show Bulls**t, That just has to be eating away at Penn. He's already trashed Scientology in his book Sock, so Showtime's lawyers keeping him from doing it on Bullsh!t has got to be annoying.
To: Fixit
Ooops, cher should, of course, be Chef.
Grrrr

"Independency Day" and "Signs" were far superior.
To: HairOfTheDog
That's hilarious! Thanks! :)

"Independency Day" and "Signs" were far superior. "Signs" was pretty good. If you mean "Independence Day", that sucked big time. :)

Chef is a scientologist? Who knew! Does that mean that the recipe for Salty Balls came from aliens?
Maybe it's because it's using a clam base?
I'd like to see some New England Thetan Chowder myself.

Whatever you do, don't watch either of the direct-to-video versions which came out around the same time as the Spielberg-Cruise film. They're even worse.

It's OK. If Cher thought Mt.Rushmore was a natural formation, she'd probably also believe in aliens.

I think it's pretty cool of them to not make fun of Scientology out of respect for Hayes. I wouldn't expect that from them.
But now I can see the Mormons, Muslims, Catholics, Republicans, Liberals, Peta, Christians, etc trying to get one of their members on the South Park Staff. :)
To: EveningStar
I am really surprised that he is a scientologist, but damn that ep was hilarious!
