The majority party is the party that gets to nominate from their candidates the leader and again Denny Hastert is the SPEAKER of the House - Tom Delay was the majority WHIP!

She would be running against Denny Hastert who is the Speaker. Sugarland is very conservative BTW. DeLay will do just fine!

Delay's Opponent, Nick Lampson, has now shown that he is a LIBERAL Democrat.
Was there ever any doubt?.... Who do you think a democrat is going to vote for if they have control and have the option of electing the next speaker? I would bet that Lampson voted for her to be Minority Leader back in 02 when she replaced Gephardt....
