Also, I can set an arbitrary qualifier, as you have, by saying how many Super Bowls have the Cowboys been to since 1996? (Packers have been in two). And now many have the Cowboys won since 1996? (Packers have won one).
Cowboys have a LONG way to go to catch the Packers or the Bears.
Talent is greater than ever so it is definitely not watered down. There are more teams now, but the general population is also a lot higher as well.
Also, being an NFL player now bring big bucks and you can be set for life if you can make it. It was not that way during the Packer run. Players of that era were not paid that much and had to have other careers.
This means that the draw to be professional football player is greater than it's ever been. In the 1960s it was not that way.
Also, the league was tiny in the 1950s and 1960s. A team only had to be better than 9 or 10 teams to win a championship - now a team must be better than 31 other teams.
I see Big is a diehard Cowboy disliker... And we all know statistics can prove the cow did jump over the moon!
BTW in the 1996 Super Bowl XXX Jan. 28, 1996 Dallas 27, Pittsburgh 17...
