WooHoo!!! ONE MILLION points!. That is a spectacular milestone for such a new team as ours. Many of the teams we are passing have been folding for a couple of years. We accomplished the goal only TWO Months after systematic started pinging everyone to join!

Wanna start folding? It's VERY EASY. Download the software here. http://folding.stanford.edu/download.html
For most people it will be the XP 5.03 version. Put in a name, which can be your FReeper handle. Put in our team number 36120. It's as easy as that.

A bump for my computer doing something useful. I knew there had to be something other than hanging out at FR and deleting spam that this thing was good for.

I have decided to keep a couple of systems folding for other users. My points won't increase as fast, but for those with only one system I hope it will be encouraging.
Last weeks' winners are David_G_1 and MathyKathy. I wanted David_G_1 to get over 1,000 points, and I chose MathyKathy for a great folding name.
I know that David_G_1 is not a FReeper, and I can't find MathyKathy as a screen name.
Whoever you are, ENJOY!

Folding@Home is a small program that only runs when your computer is idle. It uses these waste CPU cycles to accomplish something more than pretty fish screen savers.
Folding@Home helps researchers discover more about proteins to enable better treatments of diseases such as cancer, BSE and Alzheimer's.
Surf the net and cure cancer. Makes for a winning combo!

First I've heard of this. Used to be on the SETI@Home team until they went Bionic only, that thing screwed with my system.
I'm in.

I guess this is as good a place to ask a question as any
I had got out of folding for a while
When I restarted recently, although my user name didn't change
We were reset back to zero
Any idea how to get re-integrated?
...............................credit........units........team
1 HangnJudge.....240282.......4917............18
2 HangnJudge.........2612...........15......36120
Not That I want to take away credits from any team
I'd just like to get my personal unit counts "re-integrated"

We have requested to have names in a single team changed, corrected or moved. Won't be done.
In short, the team at Stanford is way too busy to move points from one team to another.
Thank you for restarting and joining us.

Welcome...the F@H team here is a lot more active than the old SETI group. It's a lot of fun and rather addictive as you watch your points and the team points climb. Check out a few of the links above and here is a link to the old thread.

Sure it's not your computer? Did you reboot. I was having the same problem and it ended up being network issues on my end.

This is fun! Been going a week and I'm closing in on the top 100!
You're right-- it's definitely addictive, but it's a pain-in-the-butt to see what your processors are doing. Strictly for the geek factor, I felt compelled to write this page to keep track of what my processors are doing.
