How's this for uncool -- my Mom and Dad had to talk me out of getting a minivan around six years ago. I was a youth pastor at the time, and it would have come in real handy hauling people.
I bought mine right after Mom passed away a few years ago. I ended up hanging out with my younger siblings a lot of the weekends, especially as Dad works Saturdays, and there were seven of us near home at that point. Granted, I could have traded vehicles with Dad every weekend, but I decided I'd just go for a used van. It's been a good vehicle - I can't complain! But I do get some odd looks from others my age. ;-)
They've very practical vehicles, IMO. Wish they didn't have the stigma they do! They don't deserve it, poor little guys...
