This brings up an etiquette question that I have had for a while, but didn't know where to ask.

If a gentleman accompanying a lady is accosted by a mugger, is it correct for him to put the mugger down, or should he give the lady a chance to shoot the mugger first?

I suppose it depends on who is the better shot?

The honor should go to the faster draw.

One kinda picky thing.......I only carry SEVEN rounds in the .45.........(but then too, I usually use 185 gr wadcutters and aim for the middle of the bridge of the nose, so any more than two BANGs doesn't leave much aiming point.)

MY lady usually has a Wingmaster, and scores better with it than I do. Something serious happens, and we'll odd man for the first shooter.

Light work (muggers, for example) we'll leave to one of the dogs.
