In the "dim time", I played hockey on a team once where the associate priest from my parish was the goaltender. On the ice, he didn't "turn the other cheek" much -- he was well-known for his stick work in front of the net.

(There must be something about Catholic religious and their fondness for waving wooden sticks...)

again with the extremely clever tagline ! paddles, hockey sticks! hey, i bet if you cut down a goalie stick, it would make quite an imposing paddle!

Though he, being a retired Army chaplain from South Texas farming communities who has never never played goalie in his life, might ask me WHY I'm asking him about crossed hockey sticks, sermons on the Mount, and his next parish Mass.
