Land O' Lakes resort attracting college kids with strip poker

Land O'Lakes, Florida - A clothing-optional Land O' Lakes resort is trying to lure college students with a strip poker tournament.

Paradise Lakes Resort owner Joe Lettelleir says he's been trying to come up with ways to attract younger people. He says he got the idea for the tournament from Kristy Lucas, an unpaid University of South Florida intern.

Fliers are being passed around campus and advertisements are in USF's student newspaper.

A USF spokeswoman says the university's administration is aware of the event and the school is not affiliated with it in any way.

The clothing optional resort was founded in 1981.

What's the point of strip poker at a clothing-optional resort?

This won't work. All they'll attract are a bunch of nerdy, geeky college boys. It won't be pretty. Everyone else is already shedding their clothing willingly in private.

I thought Land O' Lakes was about about butter and cream as well is offending pseudo Native American groups with their trade mark.

My problem is that, having perused some nudist magazines, said resorts appear to attract too many people who really, really shouldn't ever go naked. ("Too many" in this case meaning "one or more".)

Except the intern from USF works there. I wonder if she gets college credit?

Speaking of Land O Lakes, several generations of kids have now learned that if you cut a few holes in a package of "Land O Lakes" butter and fold the portion with the pictured Native American girl's knees up just right, you can make it look like she's holding her breasts.

Cool! I think all kids should go through the scout program. It's a great foundation builder and teaches you important survival skills.
