I am one of the ONLY single males on this site(or so it seems, at least), who does NOT feel that "those boys had it lucky" or "they wanted it" or "the teachers did the boys a service, and should not be charged. Indeed, many freeper men(or are they really boys) say these things. they claim that a woman having sexual intercourse with an underage boy, is NOT rape, or not even a crime!

ME, I feel that it IS rape, and that the boys Will suffer in the long term for this, and that it should not be looked on so lightly by people here. It IS rape, pure and simple. These are KIDS, for Goodness sake, not adults!!If it was men doing it with girls, EVERYONE here would recommend the death penalty, but if it is women on boys, many just joke about it. NO!!!!!!! This is NOT a joke, and these women should be charged with RAPE, and given the SAME kind of sentences as the guys would!!!

I'm with ya, the charges should be the same no matter if it was male preying on female or female preying on male. At 17, if we take age of consent laws alone, most states are 16 so maybe on that there is a lesser crime, if any, although there are other laws as others have mentioned that were broken or could have been. The key is that the female teacher used her influence and power of her position over the 17 year old to take advantage of him and that is what is the most terrible part of this.

I know in the past before I thought about the ramifications of this as well as getting closer to God and Jesus, I might have joked about this but in the last few years, I've done my fair share of thinking and tried to put myself in the position of this 17 year old boy and if that happened to me, I would be devistated because I might have thought she loved me but instead have used me. I guess we need to put ourselves in this guy's shoes and do some hard thinking. If there was love there, I'm sure there have been romances in the past of teachers and students in literature (I like to read the old American and Victorian Era classics) and so on but they have waited until they were old enough and ready to make such decisions. Getting back to this case, there is no love here, instead, this is the stuff of a Jerry Springer world we seem to have today.

I freely admit it, I'll be 40 in July and I am still pure. I have asked God and His Son, Jesus to come into my heart and lead me to the "right one" when I am ready for her. I know I've said this before, but last July, I did ask God to guide me to a better job to help me in my economic funk and a week or two later, He delivered so I think He will do so in my love life but it will have to happen on His timescale.

I know I'll get clobbered by the sharks too, but hey, I'm ready for them, got my speargun handy and "Bat Shark Repellent" handy as well as wearing (symbolically until I order one from Soldier of Fortune) "Be a Man Among Men, join the Rhodesian Army" T-Shirt. B-) BTW, I wonder if those sharks here are related to the one in PCottraux's cartoons? B-D Ive dealt with real bullies from the 1970's to now, compared to those, the sharks here that are detractors are easy. Remember they put us down because they cannot build themselves up.

If you are a virgin fine, but don't go telling the world about it as if it some sort of badge of honor. So you are holding off on sex until marriage... what if you never get married? You guys will not know what you are missing. Do you really think that you are going to find a 40 year old virgin for a wife?
