Hmm the weird thing to me is that they are all MY AGE-- I am 31! I have NO idea what is going on here! And I have noticed some of them are relatively attractive- I totally don't get it.

One of my classmates married our 10th grade homeroom teacher. She was 28, he 17, and it was back in the mid 80's. Poor girl went wild after her first hubby got arrested for embezzlement. Not new by any means.

I still think this is nothing new. It was happening in my small-town high school over 30 years ago. I've heard of it happening in schools since then. What seems to be different now is that the teachers are being arrested instead of just quietly asked to leave town. That, and much more media coverage (sex sells).
